I have actually never played a final fantasy game for some reason. Only ones I could have played were NES/SNES though since I never owned other systems which had final fantasy games.

Go get an emulator and download the NES/SNES FF's. (FFs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6). You won't find the original versions of 2 and 3 anywhere else but on an emulator.

Even the very first one (for NES) still costs $30+ used from most places while other NES games you can get for $5 or less usually.

That's because it was probably the most popular NES game. It was the first RPG in North America.

Oh did the GBA cartridge ever get released which ahd the first 2? If not, when does it? i could get that and play them via GBP.

If you want the original, harder game, get the NES version or an emulator.

If you want an easier, new-school version (with better graphics) get the GBA version.

Note: Don't get trapped in the "healing/saving loop" with the old version, since you need to pay to save and heal. It can get very hard.

Add. Note: Again, an emulator is the only way to get the original versions of FF2 and FF3.

I'd suggest the GBA version, myself. MUCH easier to beat.

wow why would they change it up? That is annoying. And is FF2 on the GBA actually FFIV? And I assume it is indeed already released? Wow I forrgot all about it for months now.

No, Bashy, the FF2 for the GBA IS the original NES FF2, the one that was never released in America before.

If you want to get FFIV, you'll have to get Final Fantasy Chronicles for PS, and if you want to play 5 and 6, you'll have to get Final Fantasy Anthologies for the same system. (I think).
