K, i'm gonna start this off, here we go:

Long Ago

Just like the hearse, you die to get in again

We are so far from you

Burning on, just like a match you strike to incinerate

The lives of every one you know

And what's the worst you take (worst you take)

From every heart you break (heart you break)

And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)

Well I've been holding on tonight

[Chorus]

What's the worst that I can say

Things are better if I stay

So long and good night

So long and good night

Came a time

When every star falls

Brought you to tears again

We are the very hurt you sold

And what's the worst you take (worst you take)

From every heart you break (heart you break)

And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)

Well I've been holding on tonight

[Repeat Chorus]

Well if you carry on this way

Things are better if I stay

So long and good night

So long and good night

[bridge]

Can you hear me

Are you near me

Can we pretend to leave and then

We'll meet again when both our cars collide

[Repeat Chorus]

Well if you carry on this way

Things are better if I stay

So long and good night

So long and good night

When your out with your friends

In your new Mercedes Benz and you're

On drugs

And you show up late for school cuz

You think your really cool when you're

On drugs

And you put on your headphones

And you step into the zone when you're

On drugs

But the world don't care

If your not there cuz you're

On drugs

Give it to me

We are all on drugs yeah

Never getting enough (Never get enough)

We are all on drugs yeah

Give me some of that stuff (Wooooh)

And you twitch in your seat cuz

You wanna hit the street when you're

On drugs

And you cause such a fuss cuz

There's no one you can trust when you're

On drugs

And the best of your days

Will all vanish into haze when you're

On drugs

And you wish you could quit cuz

You're really sick of it but you're

On drugs

Give it to me

We are all on drugs yeah

Never getting enough (Never get enough)

We are all on drugs yeah

Give me some of that stuff (Wooooh)

I want to confiscate your drugs

I don't think I can get enough (Uh)

Give it to me

We are all on drugs yeah

Never getting enough

We are all on drugs yeah

Give me some of that stuff (Wooooh)

We are all on drugs (We are all on drugs)

[x4]

(Wooooh)

Weezer - We are all on drugs

:cool2:

ok guess this song lol

Another night slowly closes in,

And i feel so lonely.

Touching heat freezing on my skin,

I pretend you still hold me.

I'm going crazy, i'm losing sleep.

I'm in too far, i'm in way too deep over you.

I can't believe you're gone.

You were the first, you'll be the last.

Wherever you go, i'll be with you.

Whatever you want, i'll give it to you.

Whenever you need someone to lay your heart and head upon.

Remember: after the fire, after all the rain,

I will be the flame.

I will be the flame.

Watching shadows move across the wall,

I feel so frightened.

I wanna run to you, i wanna call,

But i've been hit by lightening.

Just can't stand up for fallin' apart.

Can't see through this veil across my heart, over you.

You'll always be the one.

You were the first, you'll be the last.

Wherever you go, i'll be with you.

Whatever you want, i'll give it to you.

Whenever you need someone to lay your heart and head upon.

Remember: after the fire, after all the rain,

I will be the flame.

I will be the flame.

I'm going crazy, i'm losing sleep.

I'm in too far, i'm in way too deep over you.

Whatever you want, i'll give it to you.

Wherever you go, i'll be with you.

And whatever you want, i'll give it to you.

Megan's song would be "The Flame" by Cheap Trick. Yay for me! ^_^ Here'd be my song:

Once upon a time you dressed so fine

You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?

People'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall"

You thought they were all kiddin' you

You used to laugh about

Everybody that was hangin' out

Now you don't talk so loud

Now you don't seem so proud

About having to be scrounging for your next meal.

How does it feel

How does it feel

To be without a home

Like a complete unknown

Like a rolling stone?

You've gone to the finest school all right, Miss Lonely

But you know you only used to get juiced in it

And nobody has ever taught you how to live on the street

And now you find out you're gonna have to get used to it

You said you'd never compromise

With the mystery tramp, but now you realize

He's not selling any alibis

As you stare into the vacuum of his eyes

And ask him do you want to make a deal?

How does it feel

How does it feel

To be on your own

With no direction home

Like a complete unknown

Like a rolling stone?

You never turned around to see the frowns on the jugglers and the clowns

When they all come down and did tricks for you

You never understood that it ain't no good

You shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you

You used to ride on the chrome horse with your diplomat

Who carried on his shoulder a Siamese cat

Ain't it hard when you discover that

He really wasn't where it's at

After he took from you everything he could steal.

How does it feel

How does it feel

To be on your own

With no direction home

Like a complete unknown

Like a rolling stone?

Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people

They're drinkin', thinkin' that they got it made

Exchanging all kinds of precious gifts and things

But you'd better lift your diamond ring, you'd better pawn it babe

You used to be so amused

At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used

Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse

When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose

You're invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal.

How does it feel

How does it feel

To be on your own

With no direction home

Like a complete unknown

Mr. Bob Dylan - Like A Rolling Stone

And if we're going old school:

There is a young cowboy he lives on the range

His horse and his cattle are his only companions

He works in the saddle and he sleeps in the canyons

Waiting for summer, his pastures to change

And as the moon rises he sits by his fire

Thinking about women and glasses of beer

And closing his eyes as the doggies retire

He sings out a song which is soft but it’s clear

As if maybe someone could hear

(chorus)

Goodnight you moonlight ladies

Rockabye sweet baby james

Deep greens and blues are the colors I choose

Won’t you let me go down in my dreams

And rockabye sweet baby james

Now the first of december was covered with snow

And so was the turnpike from stockbridge to boston

Lord, the berkshires seemed dream-like on account of that frosting

With ten miles behind me and ten thousand more to go

There’s a song that they sing when they take to the highway

A song that they sing when they take to the sea

A song that they sing of their home in the sky

Maybe you can believe it if it helps you to sleep

But singing works just fine for me

- chorus -

I like some of Bob Dylan's songs too. Like a Rolling Stone is probably my favorite though. :) One of the best songs of all time; #1 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list (I find it a coincidence because of the song and magazine title).

Jamie's song would be "Goodnight Baby James" by James Taylor. Yay for me! ^_^ Here'd be the next song (One of the prettiest songs I've ever heard):

Starry, starry night

Paint your palette blue and gray

Look out on a summer's day

With eyes that know the darkness in my soul

Shadows on the hills

Sketch the trees and the daffodils

Catch the breeze and the winter chills

In colors on the snowy linen land

Now I understand

What you tried to say to me

How you suffered for your sanity

How you tried to set them free

They would not listen they did not know how

Perhaps they'll listen now

Starry, starry night

Flaming flowers that brightly blaze

Swirling clouds in violet haze

Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue

Colors changing hue

Morning fields of amber grain

Weathered faces lined in pain

Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand

Now I understand

What you tried to say to me

How you suffered for your sanity

How you tried to set them free

They would not listen they did not know how

Perhaps they'll listen now

For they could not love you

But still your love was true

And when no hope was left inside

On that starry, starry night

You took your life as lovers often do

But I could have told you Vincent

This world was never meant for one as

beautiful as you

Starry, starry night

Portraits hung in empty halls

Frameless heads on nameless walls

With eyes that watch the world and can't forget

Like the strangers that you've met

The ragged men in ragged clothes

The silver thorn of bloody rose

Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow

Now I think I know

What you tried to say to me

How you suffered for your sanity

How you tried to set them free

They would not listen they're not listening still

Perhaps they never will

Actually Cody, it's "Sweet Baby James" but same difference I guess.

And yours is "Vincent" by Don McLean, who also sand "American Pie".

I've been watching you, from a far and the way you make your way around the bar. You laugh like your really entertained and

you smile like its your favorite game. Now your moving closer to me and our eyes are connected emotionally. I'm not looking

for a one night stand, Or a place for a broken heart to mend, I know everybody hear wants to hold ya. I know what it's like

cause i feel the same. When you look in my eyes there's a part of me that's still afraid.

[Chorus:]

And when you say you love me do you mean it, baby when you hold me do you feel it? Should I believe in magic in your eyes,

I would wait until the end of time to hear you say you love me like you mean it, baby when you hold me make me feel it. All

i wanna do is make you mine I've been hurt way too many times.

They say if you wanna make god laugh, then all you gotta do is tell him your plans. I know that the timing's not right,

Didn't know that I would meet you tonight. Its not that i don't really like the attention, I feel like the only man in the

room. Are you really sincere, is this just something that you do?

[Chorus]

Again and Again and again I've been hurt my friend till the end..., You know I've been high i've been low I got no plaace else

left to go, again and again and again when will this search ever end?

[Chorus]

Whoopsies, sorry 'bout the title mix up. I'm quite sure that song would be "When You Say You Love Me" by Darren Hayes. I do believe he used to be part of Savage Garden, which was my favorite band when I was 7. Anywho, here'd be the next song to guess, a personal favorite:

Well she’s walking through the clouds

With a circus mind that’s running round

Butterflies and zebras

And moonbeams and fairy tales

That’s all she ever thinks about

Riding with the wind.

When I’m sad, she comes to me

With a thousand smiles, she gives to me free

It’s alright she says it’s alright

Take anything you want from me, anything

Anything.

Wow. I didn't think it was that hard of a song. It's personally one of my favorite songs ever. Here's some hints that'll hopefully help :) :

1) Artist is Jimi Hendrix. Album was "Axis: Bold As Love"

2) Covered by Derek and the Dominos and Stevie Ray Vaughan

3) If you went to the TJ Maxx Tour in 2004, this SRV's version was payed during autograph signings.

4) Written about the "Summer of Love"

5) Rhymes with Brittle String

All Along the Watchtower is an awesome song. The guitar solo is amazing; I can play most of it, but the wah part is pretty dang hard to get down. Now that I have a slide, it sounds even better. :)

Nobody knows this song!? :o I'm almost shocked! This is like my favorite song of all time. I'll post all of the hints from Songfacts. Hopefully someone can guess it then. :)

- This was inspired by the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, a concert held during 3 days of the "Summer of Love" (1967) featuring The Who, The Byrds, Janis Joplin, and many others. Attended by about 200,000 music fans, it happened 2 years before Woodstock. Jimi wrote about the atmosphere at the festival as if it was a girl. He described the feeling as "Everybody really flying and in a nice mood." He named it "*Cough*" because he thought it could just fly away.

- The percussion instrument that sounds like a xylophone is a glockenspiel, an instrument popular in marching bands containing steel bars that are stuck with hammers to produce notes.

- Jimi ran his guitar through a Leslie speaker to create an unusual sound. The Leslie speaker was designed for organs and contains a rotating paddle that distorts the sound.

-In 1963 Jimi recorded a song that may have been a precursor to this. The song "Fox," which was one of his first recordings was played with sax player Lonnie Youngblood and sounded very similar to this.

- This is one of the songs that had to be remixed just before the album was released when one of the master tapes went missing. No one ever found out what happened to the original tape but its been speculated that Jimi either accidentally left the tape in a taxi or purposely disposed of the tape because he wasn't satisfied with its sound.

- This song, along with "Spanish Castle Magic," are the only songs

Hendrix ever performed in concert from his Axis: Bold as Love album.

- Hendrix has described this as being one of the few he likes from this album. He said "*Cough*" is "like one of those beautiful girls that come around sometimes."

- The same day they recorded "Layla," Eric Clapton and Duane Allman recorded this as a tribute to Jimi, who was one of their guitar heroes. Hendrix died 9 days later. He never heard their version of his song, which was released in 1970 on the Derek And The Dominoes album, Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs.

- Irish pop band The Corrs covered this on their Live Unplugged album.
