2.2 Updated Notes/Features

Now that the site seems to be running properly on version 2.2, here are some notes and features you will need to know:

1. skins- It takes a while to get skins workable for version 2.2, so I only have 2 skins available for you right now. I may get rid of a couple unused ones also and convert some of the more popular ones later on.

2. cookies- delete all cookies from gottalk.com or www.gottalk.com. Or click the link near the stats area on the front page to automatically delete them. If you have a problem staying logged in, let me know in the support center.

3. modifications- I will slowly add features back, keeping the least used ones off the site. If any particular ones interest you in keeping, let me know.

4. text editors- You can set your default text editor in your controls board settings, along with fast reply open by default. That has always been here. However now while you are typing a post for a topic (a full reply) you can click a button on the upper right of the editor to switch right there between the two. The RTE editor shows formatting in the box instead of tags. Also, you can click that "toggle side panel" button to get rid of that left side area which is all stuff which you can do from the regular menu bar anyway. It will then STAY closed since it sets it in a cookie.

5. fast reply- the fast reply boxes now have some buttons on them for formatting.

6. spoilers- the spoiler tag now works differently than the one we used here in the past. Well works the same, but looks differently.

7. images- images in gallery, sigs, posts are now resized if your resolution is low, where they won't stretch the screen, so you can now do a sig wider than I once allowed.

8. friends- there is now a built-in friends system. Everyone who was in your contacts list for PM has been added as your friends. There are many places to add friends, including topic view, profile view, and the members list. There is a link in yiur member bar at the top of every screen now for your friends section. Your friends are shown on your profile.

9. profile commenting- now you can post comments to people in profiles if you don't mind them being public.

10. recent visitors- in profile view, you cans ee who has been viewing your profile.

11. topic changes- in topic view, now when you click the username, a menu comes down instead of taking you directly to the profile. There are several options and a mini thumbnail of their personal picture shows in it. Click an avatar to go to the profile quicker, by the way. There are also less icons cluttering up topic view and the address card has been removed from Invision. Also when rating the topic, it has a cool rating scheme where as your mouse pointer goes over the stars on the dropdown, it shows innr real-time how many stars you are rating it. Click when the correct number are highlighted.

12. new fields- now age is set by your birthday (it already was, but now it is in IPB, not a mod) and also you can set your gender.

13. member list- Now member list looks totally different and you can sort by only ones with pictures and you can sort by gender also.

14. personal photo- now your personal photo will go on your profile, in the topic dropdown menu, and member list, among other places. If you do not upload one, it has an image of a silouhette of a person.

15. reasn for editing- I can now leave a reason I edited your post.

16. profile portal- Now there is a portal in the middle of your profiles. By clicking the tabs you can see the person's most recent posts, topics, photos from gallery, blog entries, friends, and profile comments. I will soon make it where your latest reviews will be put into it also hopefully.

17. rate members- on profile, rate members. It also allows you to view the best or worst rated members in the member list.

18. upgrade- this is NOT a final version of 2.2, so soon it will be upgraded to such. If you notice bugs, post about them in the support center.

19. gallery and blog have been upgraded also, but those are not FINAL versions either.

20. CLICK THE HELP BUTTON AT THE TOP OF ANY PAGE. It has been updated with a lot of information in case you still do not understand all features or how to use them.

21. The search link at top of pages will now search only that topic without you leaving the page, if you so wish.

edit: 22. As you can see actually a lot of games are already working, only the reviews link does not work, and links are not yet there for betting, lottery, quizzes, and store.
