  1. Yay for Megan! Glad you finally got the letter from Tessa! That's so cool; you're her "Good Luck" buddy. That's so cute. ^_^ Man, I can't wait for my mail to come today now because your finally getting letters. Thta's be super spiffy if I got one reply today. *Goes off to do something to take mind off mail.*
  2. Wee! Lucky you; congrats on getting another letter, Megan! Gah, I can't wait for the mail to come today! I've been waiting outside every day playing basketball, and I'm terirble at basketball, just waiting for the mail to come. *Waits impatiently for the mail today* ^_^
  3. Yeah. The U.S. definitely gets a bad rep around the world just because we're good at just about everything. Oh well. I still love us. ^_^ Dang. No replies for me today again. Oh well, I'm patient. Whenever they come, they come. But it seems that all my brother wanted was a dollar, so I guess I wasn't too hurt by losing that bet.
  4. Got some new news on the National team. I didn't know where to put this, but it deals with a lot about the Championships. Anywho, here's the official national team: Clickity I guess they didn't give Priess a break. Oh well, it looks like they only take results form Nationals for Women's, which is probably the best and fairest way to do the selection.
  5. I think the U.S. always gets a bad rep for winning. It's like if we win anything in the Olympics, I bet some other countries just say we're from the U.S. so we're a judges favorite. That kind of stinks. but we'll see how the U.S. gymnastics team does in future world events. Well I went to my mailbox today and I thought I saw my letter, because I had a nice blue lining envelope, but it turned out to be a bill. Oh man, I hope with all my heart that I get a reply tomorrow or I lose a bet with my brother. *Hopes with all my heart* ^_^
  6. Whoops. My bad; forget my last post here. Just at AMG with all of the Carly lovers there I kind of got a bad impression about Svetlana when Carly lovers would say "Erg. She's so evil! She looked at Carly mean." or "Sveta was telling Carly how to wear her medal. That's unforgivable. She's the evilest person on earth". So I guess I did get a bad impression about her. Now I feel a bit bad for saying that; totally my bad. But she is a great gymnast nonetheless. *Goes download some clips of her off the hub*
  7. Svetlana was a great gymnast. But I heard she was kind of snooty in person, or so I heard, so that kind of brings my likings down a lot. Gymnasts with who are good sports and such are the best ones to admire in my opinion, but I think everyone already knew that. Aww. Thanks stinks megan, hope you get that tessa letter soon. I also checked the mail today and nothing yet. Oh well. Hopefully I get 1 reply by Friday or I owe my brother something *Hopes* ^_^

Wee! Mike Sherman got a 2-year extension! Good for him. He's an awesome coach during the regular season, but he's not that great in the playoffs, hopefully this year'll be different, and I'mq uite sure it will! *Runs around with various green and gold items on* We're going to dominate over the Patriots this weekend. I have a very, very good feeling about it.
  9. Heh. Yep, handwritten responses are always better than texted out just because of the fact that they cared enough to write something. Heck, I'd even be satisfied with just the written word "Thanks" than a whole page typed of facts I probably already know. ^_^ No letters for me today; but I did get coupons for Heavenly Ham which is a pretty good restraunt but not the same as a response for some reason. :D But I got a bet that I'll get at least one response by Friday, hopefully.
  10. Well an ultra-good gymnast needs ultra-good markers and what could be better than GOLD markers. But I guess it doesn't matter because when I wrote to Nastia I asked not to include an autograph because I already had one. But if I knew it would've been a GOLD marker then that would've changed the whole situation. -_- *Plops down on the ground and pouts* j/k ^_^ Well I hope you get your reply from her soon. And then somewhat cure your OCCTMD.
  11. Wee! Congrats to you Megan! And a GOLD marker!? :o That's quite a step up from the black marker sig I got. ^_^ Lucky you!
  12. lol That doesn't soudn to good to have, but I think I'm getting a slight case of it. You have Summer homework? We never have anything like that where I go to school. That must stink bad. Wow, he was an elite competing in 2001? That's quite a while, hope he bounces back also, that'd be nice to see. But that's one thing that really surprised me about men's gymnastics. Like all of them are in their 20's and college students. Compared to senior women being only like 15-18. So I guess men have an advantage age wise. But yeah, that caught me off guard; guess I haven't really noticed that. ^_^ But I do see a lot of potential in the men's team nontheless.
  13. I noticed that also. But I always thought it was because she was growing so much that she had to do that. I read something like that in some interview, but I could be wrong. But I could see how it would annoy someone and not be a "true" Giant.
  14. Yep, last Monday would be the day (almost sure about that, my memory's a tad bit faulty) I sent them also. *Goes plops himself down by mailbox* ^_^ Well whoever produced the Men's finals did a good job, it was nice to see event to event to event and seeing more men gymnasts. I enjoyed that.
  15. I actually watched Men's gymnastics. And my random pick did well, Sean Golden. I was really impressed by his power and poise, if he was strong at all events he'd kick. But it was fun to watch a men's competition instead of always women. And even better I got to see it on my upstairs TV instead of the small 10" in my basement. ^_^ Well, it's been a week so I know that all my letters have been delivered to the gymnasts. Hope I'll be getting replies in the near future. Wee, I can't wait. :D
  16. I wouldn't think Khorkina would be competing in a Men's gymnastics competition, because she's a woman, and certainly not in the U.S. Nationals, because she's Russian. Or was that a joke? I'm kind of slow this morning. ^_^ But I can't wait to see the competition today, even though I might not see the beginning part of it because of church.
  17. Oh my goodness! That's is extremely sad. What disturbs me even more is that this was his first year off the practice squad. Imagine, he may have gotten to play an actual game, which all players eventually want to do. But now he will never be able to. That just disturbs me a bit.
  18. My current favorite gymnasts are: Seniors - Nastia Liukin, Jana Bieger Juniors - Ashley Priess (But all rock) G. Britain - Hayley Robson That's about all I can think of for my favorites right about now. If I remember anymore, I'll post them.
  19. I've never actually seen a men's gymnastics competition. It should be fun to watch for a first time, especially Nationals. I can't wait to see their strength, that's one thing I admire about men's is how strong they are. Woo hoo! I'm one step closer to becoming a student gymnastics coach. My parents both said yes to me getting it, all I need to do now is go down and put in my resume. Hope I can get it. ^_^
  20. Well, some more news. IG got their Junior Final's pics up. All of the pics look so adorable. ^_^ And Men's gymnastics is on NBC tomorrow! But at noon!? That's like the lowest rated time on TV. It's like NBC doens't want people to see gymnastics. <_< Oh well, maybe it'll be the highest rated show for that hour. Anywho, I was reading on GGMB that Nastia may have a herniated disk (that's what it sounds like at least, but I'm not sure about that). Hope it's nothing serious to keep her out of competition though. They should heal quickly, but sometimes it doesn't. Hope it's nothing serious.
  21. Yeah, my generic 7up is pretty darn awesome. ^_^ *Pours another glassful* The closing ceremony was really unique, but cool. I wish more athletes would've stayed to watch it though. I didn't see the '96 closing, or olympics for that matter as far as my memory can span. But giant kangaroos do seem odd, especially for a younger person, I know I'd be freaked. I could see how the dragons from Athen's closing could scare a little kid too. I can't wait for Beijing. I'm definitely going there when it rolls around, since I'll be in college and'll be able to. But that'd stink if Carly couldn't make college next year. It'd be kind of odd being a Super-Senior Olympic Champ. That would stink for anyone.
  22. I miss the Opening Ceremony. Those are always awesome, last year's was really memorable for me (probably becasue it's the only one I sat through). ^_^ But Greece was a picturesque country for it to be held in; I'd so love to go there some day. And I also miss Track & Field! Especially 110 Hurdles! USA owninated everyone, except in hurdles sadly. *Pops open a can of generic 7up, puts it in a fancy glass and watches reruns of Athens* But about Carly competing, I doubt it anytime soon. Like Jamie said, she looked in no condition to compete. Plus, herniated disks aren't easy things to heal. Plus if she's serious about music, that'll take a lot of time away with tours, etc. Plus college next year. I find it very hard to believe that she will compete seriously again. but we do have a very good group of youngsters coming up, so the USA will most likely be set for a while.
  23. Wow. And what a year it's been. I can also claim it's been one year since I've been a gymnastics freak. ^_^ Congrats to Carly on winning the All-Around. Gah, I miss the Olympics. Probably my favorite time of the year, sports, sports, and some more sports.
  24. Hmm...well I'm convinced. That statement just bought me over. ^_^ Definitely going to keep her on my list. Thanks for the little FYI. Gosh I'm glad you write to so many gymnasts so I know this stuff or I probably wouldn't get aroudn to it. And I'd probably be still waiting for my reply from Carly. :D
  25. Since I have 10 more stamps left, I'm most likely going to write to - Chellsie (Got to write to my homstate gymnast), Shayla, Monica, Cortni, and Kassi. That's who I'm leaning towards now, not too sure about Kassi though. ^ That's a really good list of gymnasts you god there.
