  1. So if Memphis actually hustled vs UAB and won that game they might have moved up to #1.
  2. Sorry to tell you but all reports have Prior not being 100% yet. Still a few weeks away from the regualr season opener but the cubs are already making plans on openoing without him. As for Kery wood, he wasnt going to be ready until late May or June anyway so its not a bad idea for him to get this surgery out of the way now. His arm strength is about mush right now so it can't get much worse.
  3. Not hustling is not Calipari's fault.
  4. Definetly agree on your #2 point.
  5. Even though I am actually now rooting for Memphis, I have to laugh at this one. UAB was 20-5 going into the game but not even ranked in the top 25. Even Coach Calipari knew they would lose this game. "We've been slipping for about 10 days," said Calipari. "When it gets rough, we're not as coachable as we need to be. They beat us to every loose ball down the stretch." I still think they are deserving a #1 seed in the tourney but they way Memphis is really dismissed by everyone, I dont know. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=260610005
  6. well its open for everybody as long as they are going to stay active. I dont know why you cant just take a nap around 3 am and be up at 10. Ive seen you up at 12 for Memphis games but I guess they are more important.

Notre Dame isnt a bad team. They hit a bad streak where they lost 5 in a row and lost those 5 by a total of 11 pts. Lost by 2pts to Villanova. By 1 pt to WV and 1 pt to Uconn 3 pts to Pitt and to top it off they play in the toughest confrence in all of the land. Not a great team but by no means a bad team.
  17. No problem. Just get rid of Golf and Nascar and that will be 2 less places I have to post in.

    Did Duke lose?
  22. Here's the link. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/19/sports/b...ll/19chass.html somewhere near the bottom of the page is the blurb about brown retiring.
  23. this was just a sidenote blurb in the NY Times so I didnt bother to post the link. Bad Back Stops Brown Kevin Brown pitched in successive World Series — in 1997 with Florida and in 1998 with San Diego — then signed a seven-year, $105 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Baseball life would never be the same. The contract completed, Brown, who will turn 41 next month, has concluded that life. His career is over. "Kevin didn't have me pursue any teams because he wanted to see how his health was," his agent, Scott Boras, said. "He decided after the painful process last year he was not going to play. His arm is still remarkably good, but it's about his back. He had to endure a lot to throw last year." Brown's back strains limited him to 13 starts with the Yankees last season, sent him to the disabled list three times and ended his season July 23. He finished his career with a 211-144 record.
  24. I think the link said it all but thanks for the synopsis.
