Verlander and Ramirez 2006 ROYs
Hanley Ramirez received 14 of the 32 first-place votes to edge Ryan Zimmerman for the NL Rookie of the Year award on Monday. Justin Verlander was named AL Rookie of the Year on Monday, receiving 26 of the 28 first-place votes. These were the 2 favourites so I dont see much debate here.

Cubs re-signed RHP Kerry Wood to a one-year, $1.75 million contract. According to MLB.com, the incentives in the deal aren't worth $6 million, but can instead bring the value to the deal up to $6 million. So, they're worth $4.25 million. The official breakdown still isn't available, but the incentives are based on active time on the 25-man roster, appearances and games finished, which further emphasizes how Wood will be used next season. The Cubs might let him contend for the closer's role whether they trade Ryan Dempster or not.

Cubs re-signed third baseman Aramis Ramirez to a five-year, $73 million contract with a mutual option for 2012. Ramirez could have received at least $16 million per year from the Angels or another team, so he wasn't kidding when he said remaining with the Cubs was his first choice.

Joe Torre To Be Fired
Yea, your right he is horrible. I hate when a Manager wins 4 World Series in 11 years and has his team win 95+ games every year. He shoulda been fired after Rivera, blew game 7 vs the diamondbacks on '01. Or when Beckett burned the Yankees in 2003. He should have added himself to the active roster and played Bugs bunny style so the Yanks could win more.

Joe Torre To Be Fired
NY Post reports Joe Torre is staying. Unless of course he decides to leave on his own. Arod to the Angels has been talked about since august. Yankees want Santana and Figgins in the deal though. Don't really care about getting figgins but adding Santana would be a huge upgrade. To bad Zito will be going to the Mets.

Yeat those were just some of the problems. You didnt include the STUPID no trading rule and only 1 shot per week at picking up FA. I'm Glad I won and will count it but really wont be bragging about it. Yea you should have changed strategies a bit earlier but I think the biggest problem you had was drafting Prior and adding Harden and Patterson off FA. If they all pitched full seasons like they could have, it could have been alot closer. You have always been very big on getting injured guys and having those studs when they returned. Unforunately those injured studs never came back. Also My big pick was getting NL MVP Ryan Howard at 15$. Not to mention stupid fat Jenks pitching well above what I and everybody elseexpected him to do. Yes it was 3 ESPN, 1 TSN and 1 Rotowire. These were all roto leagues. You are grand Champion of H2H for you win.

I wish I head a head shaking in amazement smiley to use here. This post is so surprising I dont even know what to say. I do have to agree this wasnt our normal FBL because Rotowire dosent know how to run an actual league or they are just lazy and dont like to update things on a daily basis. That being said, You still made it another tough season and next year we just do a normal cbs $100 league. This way we are not getting used to new systems and having to adjust or knowledge based on the game. Cya next year. Eventually you'll beat me and Im sure whn u do it wont be just by a couple of point. It will be more like a Reginald Denny type of beating. Just for the record it is now 5-1.
