After the Duke game, we play 6 straight unranked teams. Then Gonzaga and Texas within a week. Then never another ranked team unless some udnerdog later gets ranked. So thus why this Duke game is important and Aaron not realizing that. If we somehow could beat Duke, Gonzaga, and texas, it would be POSSIBLE to be undefeated this season.

About 15 hours until tipoff. We finally are getting respect. On a NEUTRAL court against the #1 team in the nation, they are only favored to beat us by 5. This year we are the real deal, whether we win or lose tomorrow. A lot of people are skipping going to the grizzlies game in person to watch this game on tv.

We havent BEEN in position to win the NCAA tourney except that 1 time in 1973 or 1974. I said this is ONE of the most important games ever. Any team who beats a #1 team, that is a huge deal. Even mroe of a big deal if you're ranked, because unranked teams sneak up and win by a fluke, not facing a #1 at their best. Last year we ALMOST beat Texas in THEIR best game. Say what you want, but everyone is excited here and wanting to win this game. Most people hate DUke to begin with. So it would kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Not to mention we have a VERY easy conference now so if we win these tough games we could legitimately stay near #1 ourselves all season. And actually BE #1 in January if we beat Texas (assuming we also beat Duke).

Final Score: Memphis 88, UCLA 80. Friday at 6 P.M.(CT) it is #1 Duke vs. #11 Memphis for the championship, which i said way before anyone noticed it could happpen was exactly what i wanted this year. If we beat Duke, it will make the year a success no matter what happens after it. This was a tough game. We were up by 20 in the second half and UCLA started scoring over and voer with us not scoring and I thought we may lose. but we made our final 6 free throws and won by 8.

Delgado deal to Mets now finalized.

The mets are close to trading for Carlos Delgado. The Phillies traded Jim Thome to the White Sox for Aaron Rowand. The Marlins dealt Beckett and Lowell to the Red Sox in a deal which is pending physicals.

I see worlds isnt even being televised apparently. Unless it is on Saturday, December 3'rd at night during this memphis grizzlies game which is shown here. I highly doubt that though. So basically that makes watching it online even more worth it because apparently either you will see unprofessional coverage or nothing at all unless you watch the official one online. This shows what NBC thinks of the current gymnasts. They obviously don't think they are worth watching. I don't like many myself, but I know many are great and NBC is stupid. I really just want Nastia to do well where I can laugh at Megan.

We are favored by 7 points. Only about 18 hours until game time. We are almost never favored to win against top 20 teams (until this year. And of course some other eyars, but not recent ones).

Fresno State is going to play in the Liberty Bowl here next month. They almost beat #1 USC last week.

history lesson: Back in the 70's Memphis played UCLA in the national championship game. The FIRST national championship game to ever be at night. (I told people Memphis used to be among the top teams in teh country even abck in the 70's and 80's, but people don't listen). UCLA had won SIX straight national championships, EIGHT of the prvious 9 championships, and had won their past 73 games in a ROW. They had won over 30 straight NCAA tourney games ina row also. Memphis lost by around 20 BUT they were tied at half time, went ahead in the second half, and were never down by double digits until 8 minutes left in the game. Bill Walton made 21 of 22 shots for 44 points and we play them again tomorrow night.

lol last year Jordan made fun of Memphis and talked up North Carolina and this year we are beating ranked teams while UNC could only beat a team called Gardner-Webb by 3 points.

It has been announced that #12 Memphis vs. #18 UCLA has been chosen for the prime time game for Wednesday night. The Duke game will be at 6 P.M. (CT) and the Memphis game will be at 8 P.M.(CT)! Also Memphis has been designated the home team for the game! This may sound like not a big deal, but I always feel like we play better in our white jerseys, whether it be at home or on a neutral court. I like it much better watching us when we wear the white rather than the blue also. UCLA has SEVERAL main players hurt right now, including their point guard. Hopefully not many of them will be back for this game, where we have that much more of a chance of meeting #1 Duke for the championship game on Friday night at 6 P.M.(CT).
