Wow, now rumors say Calipari is negotiating with Indiana. This happens every year, but what worries me this time is that apparently he even went as far as to request changes to Indiana's facilities, just like he did in Memphis before signing here. It is stupid that coaches can get out of contracts with YEARS left on them. He should be forced to stay the duration of a contract! If he leaves, our team is history. Just like his leaving UMASS destroyed that school's team for good. It hasn't come close to good seasons since then. Yet his final 4 years there he got them to the sweet 16 twice, the elite 8, and the final 4.

Unbelievable. #5 pick. I am tempted to buy a fifth team for one last shot at a top pick where I can have arod or pujols, but I am paying out so much so far I hate to risk yet another!

Memphis definitely wont be the team talked about for losing in this tournament. ALL number one seeds are history now and not a single one got further than Memphis. And in fact we lost to a #2 and the other 3 all lost to much worse seeds, including UCONN losing to a number ELEVEN seed. The only sad part is Memphis did it to THEMSELVES. We should have made it. The other teams just lost to teams who played better. We lost to a team who played terrible because we missed OPEN shots.

At least Memphis went further than anyone else's team of the people from amg or here except Jenn's is in the final 4. Chad's lost before mine, colin and jaime's lost before mine, etc etc. But unbelievable that we STILL had MANY chances to win and TERRIBLY threw the ball away time after time instead of slowing down and taking our time. We were within 4 late. Also we finally made 2 3-pointers at the end so I am sure if we had shot even just a FEW more of them the second half instead of stopping them TOTALLY, we would have made it back to win. I dunno whether I will even watch every game last year like I have for 14 straight years. What is the point? To watch them play a crappy conference so no game matters until the tournament. Another year of us choking as usual. Although I still consider it a success. We started the season #11 and we finished in the top 8 in the tournament and also we set the school record with 33 wins and we may end up having more wins than all teams, depending who wins and loses. I now hope uconn and villanova both lose tomorrow. Then let's see them talk bad about memphis when the other #1's all are gone.

Our players didn't want to win this game. Pretty simple. Even Carney just said it wasn't UCLA's defense, it was us "playing terrible". Anyway congrats to UCLA for winning in a home game against a team that had the better seed than them and was supposed to thus get better home court advantage than them. Not to mention they lost their last game but the refs let ucla slide across the floor with a few seconds left and called a jump ball instead of traveling. I wouldn't say the refs messed up THAT much this game to hurt us though. Although mighty fishy how ucla shot tons mroe free throws.

Too bad I didn't think to get endings of all games on DVD for a nice recap of this great tournament. Anyway today's game will be tough. We are only favored by 3 and I badly want to win this one! We already made the elite 8 another year since I have beena fan, but this would be the first final 4 since i was like 8 years old! And for some reason Calipari isn't even apparently putting in as much time as he needs to. He wouldnt even stay tow atch the gonzaga/UCLA game and he said he "didn't learn much" from watching tape of our first meeting with them! Hello, it is his job to get prepared to beat them, not ignore it and hope we find a way! I do think we can do great, but we need to play GREAT defense to win I think.

This sucks. Most seemt o think Patterson still will start for the Orioles and yet I can't figure a way to fit him. On one team i would have towe aive freel who may start at some point or dave roberts who has 40 spring AB's thus showing he is going to start also. In my other league the only one who could be waived is baldelli. And actually another on that first team is delmon. I already have guys who wont start wasting space on my teams!

sportsline actually lists us as having a moderate edge over UCLA. Kind of surprises me. I am a bit worried but I know if we play how we can, we could even beat THEM by 16 like the other 3 we have won against.

Memphis vs. UCLA will be at 6:05 P.M. (CT) Saturday evening. UCLA did so bad they are due for a good game. I know we can beta them though. I sure hope we take care of it! We have won every one of these three games by 16 points! And by the way Dorsey shoots free throws at under a 40% clip, so no shocker you witnessed some misses. Carney missed a free throw on a technical. If you take that out and the 2 by dorsey, suddenly we shot 80%.

You were bad luck. Other than those 2 misses we were 12 for 16 on free throws and we shot over 50% for the game! At the point of the game you are referring to Dorsey missed AT LEAST 5 straight shots also, t go with those 2 free throw misses. but he was a monster the second half. One time he got called for a technical though and one of our players went off on him for being that stupid to chance messing us up from winning! Me and my brother and dad got a nice laugh at Duke missing the rebound time after time in the final minute on LSU's missed free throws! lol If they hadn't kept doing that they may have won. We didn't like how the Texas or UCLA games turned out either. In the UCLA game, they like slid across the floor with the ball at the end and they didnt call him for traveling. I hate when the officials do that. So now Memphis has a TOUGH matchup to get to the final 4. UCLA is tough! And yes you will get it. After tomorrow, ALL games are shown nationally, no more cases of multiple games at the same time the rest of the way.

Hmm. Well I am high on Howard too, but he goes so early. I dont know that I would risk him over 6th or 7th rounds... because you know how some guys end up struggling when you think they wont because they end up being too young. What young guys do you like this year? I always mess up on them. The main one i feel like I have been overlooking is Sizemore. I need to try to draft a younger team Sunday. But I think I shouldn't draft over a few because they are less predictable than stars. Some guys I need to take on some teams are texiera, sizemore, liriano, wright, and beckett as a little older one. Maybe some other first and second year guys.

Picked up Sweeney and Matt Morris from FA. Morris good for a FA. It was either sweeney, corey patterson who wont start, or dan johnson. Also freel comes off waivers in a day or two but he is terrible this spring. I have baldelli and sweeney onmy bench. So that is what I have to work with, drop, keep, etc. I have #2 waivers in both leagues.

Glad Soriano played the field today. Perfect timing. hahaha. He was a baby just long enough for me to draft him late in the fifth round of a draft then he goes right back to playing where I got a steal. I expect only 20 homers if he stays in Washington and maybe 35 steals. Awesome still though and I am just only counting on those, he could do better. But I hope so bad they still trade him to the Cubs. Think what a steal of a pick he would be if he becomes a cub! Almost anywhere is better than Washington. Maybe with the exception of the Dodgers.
