Boston wins, thanks in part to 17 year old Danny Vinik's catch. Manny Ramirez never would have come up in the 9'th so actually the Red Sox would have lost 3-2 if not for his catch in the stands.

Well the teams I "want" to win are all doing well. Here is what I "want" to happen: Cleveland, Angels, Arizona, and Colorado. Then Arizona and Cleveland for the WS, with Arizona being the WS champs.

Colorado won because the umpire missed call. What a way for SD's season to end. A double play could ahve kept it a tie and they gom home now becuase of the umpire.

Finished 4 out. The top guy finished 1 point ahead of 2 teams and 4 ahead of me.

I finished within 5 points at least... If tomorrow's game counts I could get within possibly 2 or in fact possibly even tie for first if miraculously matsui were to have 4 steals. lol The closest i got this week i believe was 3 and 1/2 out and I never was closer all year. So i barely fell short do to HORRIBLE performance the final 2 weeeks. HORRIBLE.

The Philadelphis Phillies as I type are winning their division title. The Mets did not make the playoffs this year. I told Aaron 2 weeks ago they may not win when he told me they will "rest their players when they clinch next week" (meaning last week lol). Mets = going home.

I won zero leagues for the first time in 10 years. But I was in the race until an hour or so ago. Technically it is stil mathematically possible, but I doubt I will get 3 steals, 2 homers, hit .500, and this pitcher do great for another team to cause me to gain enough. I was still feeling in it enough tio stay up the past 18 or so hours to see how it went though. My team fell apart totally. If it had done GREAT today I would have most likely come back from 8 and 1/2 down to win.

As usual the AL is superior to the NL. All of the top 4 records are the AL teams in the playoffs.

Sigh. I am frustrated. My 3 pitchers each gave up 4 earned runs. I lost a whip point. But overall I am currently 6 out with the top guy close to losing about that many points. HOWEVER now someone else jumped ahead of me and is 3 and 1/2 out. Pretty much I need need NEED my 3 starters tomorrow to excel in e.r.a. and whip and if they ALL three won and did good I COULD gain 3 points just from them. I got a save from Hoffman to go 2 up on the jerk in saves. I had a HORRIBLE average and only 1 homer and 1 steal, but the 1 steal was enough to gain on both teams and I still can gain 3 average points also. Bottom line: Rest of thee way I need good pitching AND good hitting and I need the top guy to suck in e.r.a. and whip and rbis.

Cool now Gary is being a jerk and noticed I guess and he picked up like 4 or 5 small time closers. I think I will just have to concede that point.

Well today was a horrible day for about all players other than a few starters, a few closers, and Loney. Not much else good happened. So I got 0 homers and batted .200, but the guys I am chasing in homers got 0,1,1 homers. I lost half a average percentage point. Sigh. So I am further behind in average now. Shawny gained motor city's rbi point though so I am actually closer to the top instead of further back. And Maine got me 9 k's to inch a little firther ahead in k's. It sucks that it's the last werek because some stars get rested. I am even tempted to waive Dunn because he hasn't been playing much and there are a couple left handers pitching against the reds this upcoming week. But I have to somehow gain homers. Anyway so I am 5 points out with a week to go now. I have never been clsoer than 5 starting any week this season.

I just noticed I was once 24.5 back, 5 weeks ago was 18 back, and never have been closer than 5 and 1/2 back all season. As for my strategy, I am using 1 or 0 closers and using SMART starters not all 2 start ones. Trying to keep the 10 for e.r.a. and whip in sight. I also have many speed guys and hot hitters for average and steals.

Frank Thomas has 3 homers today to pass Mel Ott on the career list. Unfortunately it hurts me in 2 of my 3 fantasy leagues AND I considered picking him up recently.
