I just realized... Alicia didn't do bars, did she? SO no wonder she wasn't near the top in standings. lol I still don't personally like her as one of the top 6 though. If I picked six I would currently pick: shawn, nastia, chelssie, sam, jana, and shayla. Of course Shayla would have to be healthy.

Well Shawn won once again. Really sucked that Shayla barely did any routinees and fell on bars. At least she was invited to the camp though but she would have to get healed from her back injury mighty quickly. I like Chelssie more than any other gymnast now I think. I have liked her for a while, but even more now because she seemed so relaxed and confident and just great all around. And by the way I have no clue why they kept saying Alicia Sacramone should be selected immediately... She didn't even finish remotely close to the top and they acted like she was doing better than practically everyone. I noticed Chelsea Davis is only 4'6. lol Also I thought Shayla was 16 for some reaosn, but she is only 15 actually.

LOOK WHAT TEXIERA DID THE LAST DAY BEFORE I GET HIM. This is starting to just get ridiculous! If it were a daily league I would have already had him in, but of course it's my ONLY weekly league! And you should see what my hitters did today. I guarantee you that you've NEVER had as bad of a hitting day as my 3 teams combined did today. Almost EVERYONE was 0 for 5 and 0 for SIX.

Enough is ENOUGH. I am not going down without a fight whether I have to waive good players or not. I will add pitchers day after day if I have to in order to get back into k's and wins. I justw aived thome in 2 leagues, kelly johnson in one, rafael soriano, and rafael furcal. Screw this business with me keeping hurt guys in. I may have dropped a lot of highly owned guys but I make up for it because I ALSO have guys who are about to come back. I have pujols and willingham coming back this coming week and I picked up weeks to replace kelly johnson. I have alfonso soriano and davir odtiz not too far off also. It just sucks that now people will think I will waive everyone so they won't trade for them, but I got sick of leaving hurt guys in because of the crappy offers I kept receiving.

Nevermind. I saw they announce 2 today because the top 2 automatically are selected. Here are my opinions: 1. It sucks that Shayla took out her opening part of her beam routine and did not do her floor routine. I messaged her on myspace a few weeks ago mentioning that I figured her injury was a back injury because she is so much like Hollie and that Hollie had to take out her flexibility moves and that I hoped Shayla wouldn't. Well sure enough I was right... she took out all of those flexibility moves and didn't even DO floor which is the one event I love of Shayla's. THIS MAY be a good decision, but Hollie didn't even make the Olympic Team when she did these same decisions with her back injury. Sadly I think Shayla won't make the team unless she either shows more today or does mighty well at the camp! She happened to have this injury at a terrible time just as Hollie did. 2. Nastia is overscored so often. I used to not like her at all because she reminds me of Svetlana Khorkina, who I can't stand. But now I do like her. But it's just the flat truth that when she makes mistakes they don't take off as much as they should. This is not the first time it's happened. I know of at least three meets where the announcers were shocked at how high a score was after she had huge steps on landings or other fairly big mistakes. 3. I actually used to like ONLY Shayla from this group, but now I like a ton. I like shayla, jana, sam, chelssie, nastia, shawn, and I think one more I am forgetting. 4. Chelssie looked very very VERY comfortable, wheras Shawn looked extremely nervous. The older girls look much more relaxed and like they're having fun than the younger ones.

I'm about to watch that now because I wasn't awake during most of it last night. I like shawn somewhat. If you notice in the gallery section on this site Megan posted pics of Shawn and some others who are in this back when she first joined this site years ago and they were not senior gymnasts yet. By the way Lynne, do you know for sure if they announce the team after tonight? I "think" they do because they had said that this year the camp will not be what determines the team. So I am assuming they want to know before the camp who will be on the team where they can be better prepared for the Olympics. But that may still mean they wait a few days befoe announcing. He and isringhausen. And this one guy keeps picking up setup men who could be closers in the future and I ahve absolutely no room. It's my league where I have Furcal active. I made dumb mistakes this year. Leaving guys like him, pujols, and soriano in active lineups for weeks or even MONTHS at a time in furcal's case. I am screwed up in rbis and runs now. I wish I had dropped furcal. WHo would have known he would be out THIS LONG with a "sore back".

That's so cool. Especially Hollie since of course she is one of ym favorites ever. I don't know if you remember, but arch was like obsessed with courtney kupets. haha.

Zambrano DLed to add to my miserable season of injuries. On the same team I have had soriano DLed twice, the other soriano twice, pujols, zambrano, and others.

I had done no trades all year in any league and now in a 3 day period I dealt ichiro for texiera straightup and i dealt wright for santana straightup both in the same league. I am considering offers in other leagues also. Do you think it's too late to gain points in saves when I am almost 30 saves behind the guy with the 3 in saves? lol Someone offered me hoffman and francoeur for pierre and taveras, but my only closers would still be hoffman, jenks, and isringhausen who isnt quite back to closing yet. I wonder if I should just deal jenks and get what I can get for him.

Cool. By the way if you read this today, let me know is the finals for women today or tomorrow? Because here's what it says for the tv descriptions... It's on tonight and says it's delayed. Then for tomorrow it says it's "live" and it's on at night tomorrow also. So I'm not sure if maybe they are showing yesterday's tonight and the finals tomorrow or maybe they aren't showing yesterday's at all and today's is finals and tomorrow's is event finals maybe? Or do they even "have" event finals for olympic trials? I actually doubt it. lol

I may also. But he did great other than 1 inning. He had 7 great innings and 1 bad one. I am just so sick of dropping everyone and getting no trades done. I may drop furcal now also. I have had him IN MY ACTIVE LINEUP SINCE HIS INJURY. I've practically GIVEN AWAY my season by keeping hurt players in lineups. I actually has done worst all year though and I think I could find a way to win it. It has cliff lee, cain, lackey, felix, etc.... all on fire and it's offense has guys like manny, texiera, david wright, vlad, etc... so some just need to heat back up. It also has 4 closers. And check this out THERE ARE AT LEAST 4 closers on free agency. Yet in one league I can't get a closer no matter what. In this league bowski, cj wilson, lyons, isringhausen and i think someone else are all FAs and someone just waived another closer too.

Wwll the Olympic Trials have started for men and start for women Friday. None of the women's is on tv until Saturday night and then there is apparently more on Sunday. There are trials for diving and maybe other sports this weekend also. NBC has like 10 or so hours of Olympic Trials of various sports this weekend. I forgot to tell Lynne to take pics of Shayla. Ahhhhh. lol At least I assume Lynne went as she planned to.

It reminded me of all those games Jordan lost the same way come playoff time. Not sure what parallel universe you lived in but the Chicago Bulls were my favorite team and they won several championships. So to imply they kept choking is very much overdoing it.

Great Furcal is out until at least mid July and I dumbly have had him active his entire injury.

I traded ichiro for texiera straight up just to mix things up. I actually need average and speed, not power. But I guess it was still good because there is more chance of finding top speed on FA than power at some point during the season. Thames already homered for me, by the way. So 7 homers in 7 games now. Swisher heating up. I had Thome benched in 2 leagues and he did great and homered.

The Boston Celtics destroyed the L.A. Lakers to win the championship. It was so pathetic I could only watch a couple minutes. They didn't even try to come back.

Well the Finals are down to Game 6 between the Celtics and Lakers. I dislike most Boston teams so I want the Lakers to win. They would be UP 3 games to 2 games if not for the disasterous falling apart in game 4.

Jeff Clement called up and I was so busy on this site doing programming I missed him everywhere.

The Mets finally fired Willie Randolph. Apparently all sane people knew he would be fired before the GM knew it was inevitable. lol At the end of last year he deserved to be fired for their collapse. At the beginning of this year they had a meeting and the GM claimed he was not going to be fired. I knew it was stupid not to fire him then also. The Mets are underperforming to an extreme. I can't think of a single player on there performing as good as they normally do. Billy Wagner I guess. But Beltran, no. Santana, no. Reyes, no. Delgado, no. Wright, not even close.

His batting average doesn't matter when he is on this type of run. You use him then drop him again.

Thames has 6 homers in his last 6 games. I keep being too late to notice trends this year. I picked him up and waived Ibanez. Now he will probably suck and I also almost picked up crede before he had 4 homers in 2 games and I didn't do that either.
