Mets = stupid?
Putz makes sense ebcause he is more the type who should be a setup man now I think. Sabathia wasn't a few days ago, as it actually even still isn't final I don't think. If so, it became final within the past 24 hours I believe.

Mets = stupid?
Joke all you want, but keep joking when the mets falla apart at the end of the season again. Also the yankees reportedly signed CC Sabathia.

I don't remember him having surgery.

Mets = stupid?
The mets have reportedly signed krod. I don't know whether I think it's smart or stupid, but I am leaning toward stupid. While it would seem having two great closers amkes the end of their bullpen so great, the fact that wagner was nearly perfect saving games and sow as krod means that there will be tension since both will want to close.

Memphis Makes Bowl
After not being in a bowl game for more than 30 years, University Of Memphis will now be competing in its fifth bowl game in six years! And not only that, it will be the first ever "st. petersburg bowl". http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2008/...c-20-bowl-st-p/

Memphis In Bowl Game?
It appears Mrmphis will be in a bowl game despite starting the seaosn 0-3, losing their top 2 quarterbacks for the season, losing their second best running back, and finishing only at 6-6. That record normally would only get teams from big conferences in, but this year it puts Memphis in position where either Memphis or Southern Mississippi must be chosen for a bowl game. Each has the same record, the same conference record, and Memphis won their head-to-head matchup. So it would appear Memphis would be the selection.

Memphis Doubted Again
UAB should have beat Oklahoma last night and experts say there are 4 teams that could be very good in the conference this season and that Memphis won't win all conference game like they did the past couple years. Also they have been trying to get into the SEC or some other conference, but it never ends up happening and they didn't let us go to the Big East which came up to bite them by us getting this good. By the way, the past 3 years we tied the NCAA record for total wins with 104. If we can win 34 this year we would break the 3 year total by having 105 and I'm sure that would easily beat the 4 year total also. Also no team has ever won 30 or more games 4 straight seasons, if I am not mistaken. And UCLA and Memphis both have a chance at that.

Memphis Doubted Again
lol. I just realized Memphis has to win every single game remaining in the season AND the national championship if we want to beat the NCAA record for wins in a season (which was set by us last year).

Memphis Doubted Again
They lost their game last night by 5 points thanks to a technical called on the assistent coach and tons of missed free throws. I knew this year's team couldn't be as special as last year's, but I thought there would still be a "chance" of winning it all. I guess anything's possible, but it currently looks like an Elite Eight would be a successful season. I want the to win 34 games though where it will break the record for most wins in a 3 season span. Last year they already set the single season record.

Memphis Doubted Again
As usual Memphis is being talked down in basketball. They definitely have more holes in their team than last year, but they have some top recruits, are ranked #12 in the country and are 4-0 on the season. Their next game is the championship game of the Puerto Rico Shoot Out. It's being broadcast on espn2 at 7:30 P.M. ET Sunday evening.

2008 MLB Player Awards
Just noting that Aaron is pasting those comments where people don't think he's telling his opinions. Anyway yeah I was way off on this one. I don't really thinkPedroia should have won. But I do recognize that there was no clear choice. Arod and Quentin missed time with injuries. Still the best overall stats were by Quentin and he got his team to the playoffs. The red sox would have most likely gone without Pedroia, but it's questionable.

2008 MLB Player Awards
I'm just too good. For AL MVP I think I'll predict Quentin first and arod second. Thus far I ahven't been wrong on any prediction. I don't think I predicted for the NL ROY though. Have the managers been picked? If not, I preodct the TB manager and probably the phillies manager. edit: ok managers were already announced. I got one of those wrong. And Delgado didn't even come remotely close to third place. Even Manny Ramirez, who played only half the season in the NL, finished ahead of him.

2008-09 Memphis Feature
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/fu...J2IOJSVQhvevbYF Rivals is doing a big entire feature on the Memphis Tigers for this season. Go to that link and you will see many clips already. It's a 10 episode feature which already has 5 episodes on there. The Tigers play their first regular seaosn game tomorrow night. We are ranked #12 and #13 on the two polls to begin the season, despite losing three of our five starters from lasts eason. I believe we will actually be just as good as last year, believe it or not, and have a good chance at winning the championship. I like the team being the underdog and this year ALL TEAMS are the underdogs to North Carolina, as the AP talks up UNC claiming they are favored to win it all more easily than any team in 15 or 20 years! In our exhibition game we beat the team by more than 30 points despite two key players being injured and not playing (both are starters). Meanwhile UCLA already almost got upset yesterday.

Meanwhile better players get much less. For instance Canseco was getting less when he last played.

The Yankess are so smart. They traded for Swisher, who played horribly this season (probably had eben on steroids) and then they give Marte $12 million for 3 years.

Oh yeah, Webb. That's who you said would win and I said no he wouldn't. I don't think Linecum should have won though.
