What a way to lose... They were tied in the bottom of the 11'th inning and they gave up a leadoff double, when someone tried to bunt him to third we threw a wild pitch, we then walked that guy intentionally, then for some UNKNOWN reason the manager brought in a new pitcher and did not even intentionally walk the next guy to load the bases. The very FIRST pitch was another wild pitch to end the game! Also the redbirds left 11 runners on base. Or maybe even 12. I forget. It was a great game other than that and the fact that another of their runs was due to the pitcher forgetting to look at the runner at third so someone scored from second on an infield hit. So we would have won before extras if not for that.

There actually IS still a AAA Championship. However it's a 1 game thing rather than a series. After SWEEPING the division series and league series the Memphis Redbirds (AAA club of the St. Louis Cardinals) head on to the AAA Championship game against the Durham Bulls (AAA club of the Tampa Bay Rays). The game will be nationally televised on espn2 Tuesday, September 22'nd, 2009 at 7 P.M. ET.

Well we swept the first round and now we are one win away from sweeping the championship series to win the Pacific Coast League. Just have to win one of the next three to wrap up the championship. I went to the game tonight and we won 3-2. It was raining during pretty much the whole game and there was a diving catch and a deep flyout is what ended the game.

Memphis plays Mississippi (ranked in the top 10 nationally) Sunday. I would put games up to bet, but nobody's ever here wanting to bet on them. lol

The baseball team here, the Memphis Redbirds, are 1 and 1/2 games up in the playoff race. They play 2 games today, 1 tomorrow, and 1 monday to end the season. Yesterday we beat Kris Benson.

I bet they will go back to it at some point because everyone is annoyed with all the changes. lol I don't see why they couldn't have left it a max of 10, but simply changed what has to be done to get a 10 a little bit. Anyway hmm I don't necessarily like any current gymnasts too much. I don't have any particular favorite. Although I think quite a few of them could be good. Really nationals is all I've even seen on tv since the olympics. I guess I like Shawn and Nastia, but still been a while since I really had a favorite.

Yeah I don't know why they keep messing with rules. Most other sports don't randomly change rules as drastically. In college basketball sometimes they move the 3-point line a whoppign one inch or do some new rule, but gymnastics got strange when they changed the scoring system. Still whoever does best wins, but I liked it more where it was on a scale of 10.

Playing basketball in the dark is not so fun. I rushed to finish and also mosquitos out there. 64/100

I "think" it's just that when they land they can't immediately start moving before they "establish control" or something. They were tlaking about how it takes away from the artistic part of gymnastics. So you know when you land and then immediately start moving to do the next element? I guess you have to pause before doing it to show you landed well or something.
