High school, college, and NFL football!

Don't have time to add it to the betting app yet, so posting here. I didn't do the million dollar contest, so I'm going to be mad if I get all of these right. Doing today's for now, then adding the rest later today. Nevada Utah State Utah Air Force South Alabama

I haven't finished changes on the betting app, so can't add a contest yet, so will have to have it not include the first day of games! But as an fyi, I would have picked colorado state, usc, san diego state, Tulane.

I knew McNabb was traded to the Redskins, but not until now did I realize that he basically forced them to either keep him or trade him to only that team and that last year he got mad at being benched during a game and I think he got money out of it. I don't even follow the NFL much. I know who he is, but didn't notice the incident from last year.

Memphis plays Mississippi (ranked in the top 10 nationally) Sunday. I would put games up to bet, but nobody's ever here wanting to bet on them. lol

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,150196 The NFL season may be extended to 17 or 18 games within the next couple years. I don't like the idea because obviously some single season records will fall due to it.

Well Pittsburgh one. I think that final play was definitely a pass. I was wanting Arizona to win and especially after they did so many unsportsman like plays throughout the game. The game wasn't too interesting other than the last play of the first half and then the fourth quarter. Bruce Springsteen had a lot of energy in the half time show, but his voice sounded pretty bad and he dumbly didn't even sing born in the U.S.A. I think he seriously doesn't like the U.S.A. lol

After not being in a bowl game for more than 30 years, University Of Memphis will now be competing in its fifth bowl game in six years! And not only that, it will be the first ever "st. petersburg bowl". http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2008/...c-20-bowl-st-p/

  9. Started by Jason,

It appears Mrmphis will be in a bowl game despite starting the seaosn 0-3, losing their top 2 quarterbacks for the season, losing their second best running back, and finishing only at 6-6. That record normally would only get teams from big conferences in, but this year it puts Memphis in position where either Memphis or Southern Mississippi must be chosen for a bowl game. Each has the same record, the same conference record, and Memphis won their head-to-head matchup. So it would appear Memphis would be the selection.

The Tennessee Volunteers fired Phillip Fulmer (forced him out) effective after this season ends. He has been the coach for 17 years, but like Joe Torre in baseball he always seemed to make odd decisions and get by based off of the players' talent rather than managerial/coaching decisions. Nonetheless he was obviously a good coach to be able to win about 150 games. Tennessee is only 3-6 this season. in fact even Memphis has a better record and they lost their first, second, and THIRD string quarterbacks which somewhat offsets the much better schedule of Tennessee's. Basically for either Tennessee or Memphis to make a bowl game, they need to win their final three games…

For the first time ever I went to a college football game. It was televised by espn. Memphis was down 28-14 at the half and ended up losing 35-28. Four of Louisville's five touchdowns were on big plays and Memphis destroyed them in overall stats foe the game. One Louisville TD was on a long pass, one was on a 95 yard kickoff return, one was from blocking a Memphis FG attempt and running it all the way back, and one was from a fumble recovery being run all the way back. Bottom line Memphis gave them the win and prevented itself from winning its fourth straight game. Also I now hears that on a late first down by Louisville theyw ere actually short and if Memphis had c…

Looks like it's very likely Tom Brady is out for the seaosn already. I don't like seeing anyone hurt, although I do like that the Patriots will be in major trouble this year.

LAS VEGAS -- NFL wide receiver Javon Walker was the victim of an apparent early morning robbery, according to Metro police. Walker was found unconscious at about 7:19 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Koval Lane and Winnick Avenue, officers said. The Oakland Raiders player was taken to Sunrise Medical Center’s Trauma unit, where he was listed in fair condition late Monday afternoon, hospital officials said. Police said Walker had significant injuries. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Norm Clarke, Walker was seen Saturday night at Tryst at the Wynn spraying the crowd with some of the 15 bottles of Dom Perignon Rose champagne he ordered. 16. Broncos agreed to terms with the Broncos on a five-year, $17.5 million contract, including a $4.3 million signing bonus. He'll make $8 million in the first two years which is surprisingly big money for an inconsistent talent. He'll get to play with his brother Champ and compete to start. The Broncos will pencil him in on the IDP-unfriendly strong side.

  17. Started by Pip,

Do you think the Patriots should still get to have a pefect season since they admitted to cheating in week 1? I think that game anyways should be null and void. You cant say oooh it didnt matter but you cant really say it greatly affected them either so think it should not be rulled a tie, or a win, or a lose they should just pretend the game never happened. Thats my personal opinion even though I know its way too late for that now xD

Well the Steelers just lost a heartbreaker. I didn't watch it, but saw they came back to lead until a FG was kicked with under 40 seconds left in the game.

http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/gamecenter/r...20071229_NE@NYG New England became the first NFL team since the 1972 Dolphins to win every game on the schedule, and that one was only 14-0. This victory required a Brady-engineered comeback from a 12-point deficit and smashed the Patriots' league mark for consecutive victories. "Going undefeated during the regular season is a remarkable achievement," 1972 Dolphins coach Don Shula said. "I know firsthand how difficult it is to win every game, and just as we did in 1972, the Patriots have done a great job concentrating on each week's opponent and not letting any other distractions interrupt that focus. If they go on to comple…

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071218/ap_on_...77KfczHy6gE1vAI Honestly this is one reason i haven't been too into the NFL becuase it just seems to have more than it's share of criminals and players who support sriminal activity. That is also what got me started hating the cowboys years ago. I've just stopped being 100% against them since the main players I disliked are not even on there anymore.
