Some morons thought Texas could STILL catch Memphis for the final #1 seed. Now they lose AGAIN to a crappy team. This about wraps it up. I truly think Mmephis can lose tomorrow and STILL get the #1 seed.

Unfortunately it may move Memphis DOWN in the polls. But we will see. I am now just hoping Villanova loses at the end of the week because they do have a potentially tough matchup this weekend. If that happens we will be #2. If not, we may be #4.

Duke wins by 2 thanks to the officials. Just like with Memphis, Boston college was robbed of a victory over Duke because the officials always like them and help them. That is why I can never root for Duke. It is unfair how theya re treated. With about 7 seconds left, a B.C. guy went up for a layup and Sheldon Williams of Duke threw him to the ground without touching anything BUT his body. No hand on the ball, no going for the ball, nothing but tossing him to the ground and no foul was called. Then Duke got the rebound and amde 2 free throws. Then B.C. went down and made a 3 to cut it to 2 and basically end the game. Terrible that DUke is handed their wins on a pla…

So far CBS thinks Calipari should be the national coach of the year. That would make me almost as happy as the team winning the national championship, since my cousin and uncle are deluded enough to think he is a bad coach and only a good recruiter. He's a great coach, great recruitor, and a great person. He cares about the PLAYERS as people.

When I was listening he only had 61 with like 6 mins to go and somehow poured in 20 more. Only Chamberlain's 100 is ahead of this in NBA history.

Boston College will almost certainly lose tonight. On their way to North Carolina, their bus ran over a cyclist and killed him. So obviously that should affect them.

GOODBYE #1 Duke GOODBYE #2 Florida ALl three remaining unbeaten teams L-O-S-T today. One game left. If #3 UCONN can be upset by Louisville, we ahve a very good chance at being #1 on the next poll. Only way we wouldnt is if they keep Duke #1 despite a loss!

Memphis fans truly dislike Louisville, for the most part. They were scared to keep the rivalry alive with us and have always been a big rival of ours. So it makes me happy to see a bad St. John's team beat them by double digits tonight. Especially since my uncle always claimed Pitino is a better coach than Calipari and gets more out of his players. Louisville started the season AHEAD of us and now will be somewhere worse than 20 and possibly even out of the top 25 if they lose to UCONN later this week. Meanwhile Calipari has our team (juast as young as theirs, so Pitino cant make excuses) #4 in the nation. Trying not to jinx though because we play a BIG game later…

In case anyone sees this some day, I want to be sure people know he did not pick Memphis to be in the sweet 16 this season. And even after most of Memphis' current games have been completed and he could see how we are doing, he then released a list of "4 teams who almost made his list" and Memphis was not on that list either. So according to this moron Memphis is not one of the 20 best teams even thoughw e are going to at the WORST get a #2 seed in the tourney and almost definitely a #1. Espn.com says we will be the MOST likely to geta #1 seed of all teams.

So far this week #s 2,4,6,7,9,and 10 have all lost. Tomorrow it is possible 3s 1 and 3 could lose. They are both playing teams who have been ranked or are still ranked. Lower teams who lost were #s 12,13,14,and 18.

Lets try to keep this as a thread dedicated to rumors u have heard wether it be trades, injuries or anything that might affect team chemistry. Eddie Curry was traded from da Bulls to the Knicks. The knicks will not make him take a DNA test so be prepared to see him collapse on the floor at some point.

For the second straight week the NATIONAL freshman of the week is a University Of Memphis player. Last week it was Shawne Williams. This week it was Antonio Anderson. Each almost went pro instead of going to college here. We are so loaded. We have other freshmen who could win one at some point too, and this is out of the whole country.

About 15 hours until tipoff. We finally are getting respect. On a NEUTRAL court against the #1 team in the nation, they are only favored to beat us by 5. This year we are the real deal, whether we win or lose tomorrow. A lot of people are skipping going to the grizzlies game in person to watch this game on tv.

history lesson: Back in the 70's Memphis played UCLA in the national championship game. The FIRST national championship game to ever be at night. (I told people Memphis used to be among the top teams in teh country even abck in the 70's and 80's, but people don't listen). UCLA had won SIX straight national championships, EIGHT of the prvious 9 championships, and had won their past 73 games in a ROW. They had won over 30 straight NCAA tourney games ina row also. Memphis lost by around 20 BUT they were tied at half time, went ahead in the second half, and were never down by double digits until 8 minutes left in the game. Bill Walton made 21 of 22 shots for 44 points…
