I will post the brackets when announced later today. I am hoping Memphis will be a #2 seed and a high enough #2 to be allowed into the South region. If we had got a #1 we would have just been sent out West anyway. So I am glad we should get a #2 or #3 seed if we don't go out West. I predict: Memphi: #2 Duke: #7 (deserves worse, but they cheat to help Duke) Ohio State, UCLA, North Carolina, Florida: #1s Kansas: #2, they dont deserve it though. They have worse RPI than Memphis, yet people say Kansas deserves a #1. Give me a break! Memphis has won 22 straight, 32 straight at home, went undefeated in conference, and undefeated in conference tournament.

For the first time in almost 8 years, Duke has a 3 game losing streak. They may not even be in the top 20 on the next poll.

Finally, for the first time in who knows how long, Memphis will be ranked ahead of Duke later today when the new polls come out. They are ranked #8 and we are #11 and then Duke lost not once, but twice this week. We also should move ahead of 1 other team and MAYBE Kansas. So we should be #9 and #10 or #8 and #9.

In their first game of the preseason, Philadelphia came back from 22 down in the third quarter to win the game thanks to........ a 3 pointer by Rodney Carney with 10.5 seconds remaining.

Vote wisely. If you vote no, I will... get very mad, and call you mean names. Edit- Duh and no are supposed to be two seperate votes. If you vote for 'DuhNo' then it counts as a 'No'.

Dwyane Wade could be following LeBron James' lead. Wade, who reportedly agreed to a five-year, $80 million max extension with the Miami Heat last week, is instead expected to sign a three-year deal with a player option for a fourth season, ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher reported Tuesday. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2516735

LeBron James agreed to sign a three-year contract extension with a player option on Wednesday morning. James could have elected to take the maximum five-year deal that Cleveland first proposed, but instead can become a free agent just as the NBA's collective bargaining agreement expires after the 2010-2011 season. "We did extensive research and with the way the CBA is set up, it makes the most business sense to sign this extension and then look at another new contract in four years," James said. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Lakers were able to persuad forward Vladimir Radmanovic to leave the Clippers and join the other team in L.A. on Saturday. The Hornets made the first big news of the NBA's free-agent signing period, agreeing to terms Saturday with forward Peja Stojakovic. Stojakovic, who last week opted to become a free agent instead of continue playing for Indiana, will sign a five-year deal worth about $64 million with the Hornets Jason Terry and the Mavericks have agreed on a six-year contract. His agent said Terry accepted a "hometown discount" to stay, but considering it's a six-year deal and Mark Cuban, we're sure Terry is doing just fine. Carmelo Anthony and the Nuggets …

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom's 6½-month-old son has died, a spokesman for the team said Thursday. Jayden Odom died Wednesday night, apparently suffocating while sleeping in his crib in New York, according to John Black. "Lamar is very distraught," Black said. "Both he and the baby's mother are asking that people respect their privacy at this time." Jayden was born Dec. 15. Odom has two older children -- a son and a daughter.

Tears his groin and is out 8-10 weeks. My bet is that he comes back for the last week of the season just to get into game shape for the playoffs.

If Calipari signs with N.C. State, someone is going to REALLY get trashed here. Whether it be Calipari for leaving or the staff at U of M for letting him go. Calipari does not like that his assistants are paid less than the Tennessee team's assistants. And I think he feels like Memphis isn't being fair enough with his PERSONAL salary either. If he does leave then Memphis will VERY quickly be a terrible team. It is too impossible to find a recruitor like him and also a coach of top quality. Some local radio host talked to Cal on the phone and it APPEARS he is staying at Memphis. But you know how that works. They will claim anything rather than tell the truth. He c…

As I figured would happen, Carney is participating in the dunk contest in Indianapolig Thursday night. It will be aired on espn. Assuming he actually MAKES the dunks I truly think he would have to win that contest. He is the best dunker I have ever seen really. Because he is so athletic. I have seen him jump from the free throw line and dunk it.

Memphis definitely wont be the team talked about for losing in this tournament. ALL number one seeds are history now and not a single one got further than Memphis. And in fact we lost to a #2 and the other 3 all lost to much worse seeds, including UCONN losing to a number ELEVEN seed. The only sad part is Memphis did it to THEMSELVES. We should have made it. The other teams just lost to teams who played better. We lost to a team who played terrible because we missed OPEN shots.

I saw an interview with Redick and he actually seems pretty cool. Also he has a tatToo referring to a Bible verse. (Joshua 1:9) I have been kind of hoping Duke and Memphis make the final 4 where we play each other anyway. but I don't want Duke winning, obviously. I have liked them more this year than most years though.

Unbelievable! 1. Someone named 15 coaches who are finalists for coach of the year and Calipari wasn't even on the LIST. Six of our top NINE players are freshmen. So please explain to me how the North Carolina coach is sooooooooooooo great for getting his team to #10 when his top 7 left last year (thus using mainly freshmen) but OUR coach is an idiot for getting ourss near the top when we DIDNT EVEN MAKE THE TOURNAMENT last year. Plain and simple, the N.C. coach went DOWN and ours went UP. We have as many freshmen as him! 2. LOOK.AT.THE.IDIOT.POLLS. Words cant describe how stupid it is. WORDS can't describe! Duke moved down TWO PLACES for losing 2 games. Texas …

And Louisville desperate to win this weekend so they will play #2 UCONN tough. wow then the fans came on the court with 2 seconds left and Duke got to shoot technical shots. Florida State was lucky they had a big enough win to then go make 2 free throws and win bvy 5 still. If Memphis can just win tomorrow night and Saturday night and Louisville upset UCONN like I think they will, we will be #1 next week.

Even though I am actually now rooting for Memphis, I have to laugh at this one. UAB was 20-5 going into the game but not even ranked in the top 25. Even Coach Calipari knew they would lose this game. "We've been slipping for about 10 days," said Calipari. "When it gets rough, we're not as coachable as we need to be. They beat us to every loose ball down the stretch." I still think they are deserving a #1 seed in the tourney but they way Memphis is really dismissed by everyone, I dont know. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=260610005
