The New York Mets fell apart to end a "sure thing" season without a playoff berth. Second straight year that the Florida Marlins dealt the blow to them on the final day of the season. The main reason I was wanting the Mets not to make it was because I wanted the significance of Billy Wagner to be magnified because 1. he is udnerappreciated and 2. losing him ruined one of my fantasy teams.

Finally a year where the Yankees don't make the playoffs. Too abd the red sox have to make it. lol The Rays claimed their berth now and I am hoping they win the division. So within a couple days "most likely" there will be very few teams who don't know if they will make the playoffs. I am kind of hoping the mets complete their second straight meltdown, but it would take the brewers suddenly getting hot or the mets will make it.

Carlos Zambrano pitched a complete game no-hitter in a neutral stadium to make up a game rained out by Hurricane Ike. He issues one walk and hit one batter while facing one mroe than the minimum and striking out 10. Milwaukee's stadium has eben asking for a no-no lately. Sabthia almost pitched one (I believe that was at home, can't remember) and them Chris Young almost pitched one at Milwaukee last week.

There is not really a topic for just general discussion from day to day about baseball so I am making this to discuss interesting things going on from time to time. Main interesting thing yesterday was that Werth had an inside the park homerun and then the very next batter, Utley, hit one out of the park in the traditional way. Back to back inside outside. Utley still leads the majors with 9 homeruns.

Billy Wagner will miss the remainder of this season and all of next season. If I were him I would be suing some people, consiering they kept telling him he had no structural damage and so he kept trying to pitch and now look what happened.

The Milwaukee Brewers' manager and players are outraged and are demanding that the official scorer change a hit to an error to give CC Sabathia a retroactive no-hitter. It would be the first retroactive no-no in history. I think it would be very dumb and that they should not even be asking for it to be changed. Why? 1. CC would have been pitching under more pressure in the eighth and ninth innings if it were ruled an error AT THE TIME. It wouldbe incredibly fair to allow him to pitch under no pressure those last couple innigns with the big lead and the no-no gone and then retroactively give him a no-hitter without him having to pitch through the pressure of hangin o…

This is for updating injury situations. Curt Schilling's career may be over. Kelvin Escobar probably won't be ready for spring training.

This is so strange. During a season they are apparently going to start using instant replay in all baseball games within the next couple weeks. So odd they decide to do this in the middle/end of a season.

I hope the Mets don't make the playoffs sicne theya re so stupidly using a 6 man rotation. Now I can never get a 2 start week from Santana again this season and he ALREADY is underperforming by his standards. This is a joke. Also as far as for them as a team... what an iditotic approach. They sure will be ready for a smaller rotation in the playoffs after getting their pitchers used to 5 days rest OR EVEN MORE than 5 days rest since they have so many off days. In some cases guys are going to have 7 days rest! Way to keep them sharp. Morons.

Funny the Yankees have babied him like crazy and of course he then ends up with a big injury anyway.

Yesterday Pudge Rodriguez was dealt to the Yankees for Kyle Farnsworth. Today the Dodgers got Manny Ramirez and the Red Sox got Jason Bay. Ibanez was going to be dealt to the Blue Jays, but apprently it fell through.

CBS approved my deal less than 40 minutes before the daily deadline and when I noticed it, it was 25 minutes too late for me to change it and I DON'T GET ANY STATS FOR TODAY. Now watch them tell me there is "nothing they can do about it". Yeah there is something they can do about it. They can stop being idiots. They have already lied to me several times about rules in the past also! And I am almost positive they told me they never approve deals right before a deadline!

CBS Fantasy Baseball 2008 is now open. Now you can choose to use daily rosters instead of weekly. Also their commissioner game allows auction drafts. And there is/will be an area for mock drafting where you can practice and see where people are drafting everyone.

Someone who was in the Red Sox front office says Manny Ramirez probably took three straight strikes without taking the bat off his shoulder earlier this month to pay the red sox back for fining him $100,000+ for an altercation he had with a traveling secretary. And now those comments he made at the all-star game. Maybe he should consider the fact that he is performing horribly for his salary level this season. He's going to have less people want him as he turns into a jerk like Bonds. I own him in a league and I wish I didn't own him because he isn't doing anything at all.

I decided to take a que from Jason and sent out a couple league emails. Here they are: 1st email I have to admit that I am getting kind of disgusted with the trade offers that are coming my way. Even if I was dumb enough to accept them, they would never pass thru. The only person that actually sends legitimate offers is the guy in first place. They arent perfect but he includes real players, not just soon to be FA. Nobody even makes counter offers or comments as to why they reject something. 3 trades made this yr and nobody is even close to catching the first place team. So everybody keep thinking they have a perfect team and maybe Joe will buy us all ice cream i…
