Baseball

From spring training to the World Series!

  1. Started by Jason,

As I hoped all along, the Houston pitching is holding on for wins. ouston ahs the better starters and better closer. Their offense just isnt so great. A few good oens though. Game 1: Pettitte had a rare bad outing. Cardinals won. Game 2: Oswalt mastered the lineup. Game 3: Clemens only gave up 2 sac flies.

Angles win game 1. Colon left off roster for ALCS because he is a girly man. Discuss.

I just heard on the radio on some interesting facts that Cal Ripken's 1989 Fleer card has a hudden obscene word on it (on his bat). On some versions it is blacked out.

Glad both of those teams are gone. Neither deserved to go to the playoffs anyway. So anyway I got what I wanted in 4 of 4 series!

I know its a little late to get this started for baseball season but it can and will be used specifically for trade talk. If you are thinking of making an offer or have just recieved one that u are curious about, post it here and hopefully you will get some insight back. Ken Griffey jr and Jason Giambi. CINCINNATI -- Ken Griffey Jr. would have retired this year if a hamstring injury had left him less than elite. Ken Griffey Jr. Center Field Cincinnati Reds Profile 2005 SEASON STATISTICS GM HR RBI R OBP AVG 128 35 92 85 .369 .301 The Cincinnati Reds outfielder said Thursday that he wasn't sure he'd be able to play baseball at a high level after his major hamstring surgery in August 2004. Griffey tore his right hamstring from the bone and had it reattached with three screws -- an uncommon operation for an athlete. The 35-year-old Griffey proved he's still one of the best when he's healthy, batting .301 with 35 homers and…

Indians now ahead of the Yankees in the wild card race! Quite frankly,I wish neither NY nor BOS would make it. But if I had to choose one to go I would rather the Yankees go than the red sox!

  15. Started by Jason,

Unfortunately the red sox came back last night, so there still could be a tie. I was hoping the season would just end after this weekend. I am rooting for NY and Cleveland, where boston wont go to the playoffs. Currently: Boston 1 game behind NY and tied in wild card with Cleveland.

The 19 year old in his debut only gave up 1 earned run in 5 innings.

When will they win again? Some say not until early September.

  18. Started by Jason,

I am maki8ng this for any baseball comments that involve something that happened ona daily basis that doesnt really deserve its own topic. I would just like to say i am EXTREMELY happy Pedro Martinex is not getting a win tonight. Let tonight be an example of "you asked for it, you got it". The mets manager thought he was so smart thinking it was wise to take Pedro out after less than 80 pitches because the score was 8-0. So let this show him what he gets for taking something for granted.

Overall e.r.a. for the entire season is 1.38. His road e.r.a. is 0.38. he should have 10 starts left. if he can win 9 somehow then he would get 20 wins.
